Xmas Party Magician London

It’s December 29th, and for most magicians, this is the part of the year when we finally come up for air after the chaos of the last few weeks. December isn’t just busy—it’s a full-blown sprint. The rest of the year? Pretty quiet. Then December hits, and suddenly, it’s like someone flipped the “panic mode” switch. While everyone else is winding down, we’re frantically juggling gigs like it’s an Olympic sport. So yeah, if you see a magician this week, don’t be surprised if they look a little… frazzled.

December is my season of corporate parties in London, and this year didn’t disappoint. Of course, I can’t clone myself (yet), so I’ve got a few top-tier magicians on hand for those looking to level up their Christmas parties.

From Magic Circle members to Inner Magic Circle elites, these close-up magicians deliver tricks so mind-blowing you might want to keep a first aid kit nearby—just in case someone faints from sheer disbelief.

Christmas Party Entertainment at ThreadNeedles Hotel

A few notable stories from this year’s corporate Christmas events: Wherever possible, I like to perform my unique Close-Up Corner format; however, for this particular gig at the Threadneedles hotel, they’d already booked a photobooth taking up some of the space. For this reason, I performed my Icebreaker package – two hours of mix-and-mingle magic to help get the Christmas celebrations rolling!

It made for a nice change; although it limited the number of magic tricks I was able to perform (the Close-Up Corner is loaded with mind reading, card tricks and amazing close-up magic), it was nice to be able to dip in and out of small groups, performing mind-boggling illusions. It was great to see the client had thought about their Christmas entertainment, hiring a Christmas magician, the photo booth, and some delicious food and drink. It really helped get the guests talking, which, of course, is something that not all the guests are great at.

They brought in a DJ for this corporate shindig, setting the stage for my Christmas performance with some background beats. Once I got things rolling, he cranked up the volume and turned the festive dial to max—it was like a holiday rave, minus the glow sticks.

Take a look at some of the cool reactions at this London Christmas party.

Christmas Party Magician

I perform a lot of private parties throughout the year, and after surviving a slew of corporate events, it was a refreshing change to bring my magic to a smaller, more personal gathering the weekend before Christmas.

Corporate dinners during the festive season? Let’s just say they come with their own… charm. Between the endless Christmas distractions and the sheer volume of guests, your mind-blowing magic often plays second fiddle to bottomless prosecco and awkward Secret Santa exchanges. And when you’re one of several magicians booked to entertain the masses, it can feel less like entertaining and more like running a marathon in dress shoes. December as a corporate magician? It’s a battlefield.

But a birthday party? Now that’s a different beast. The vibe is chilled, you actually get to connect with the guests, and your magic becomes part of the party, not just a sideshow.

Performing my Room of Mystery at Michael’s 70th was a real treat. This unique format is perfect for house parties and a great reminder of just how different private parties are from the corporate chaos. Michael’s guests were genuinely engaged, and the atmosphere was festive without the corporate overdrive. A win all around.

Christmas Wedding Magician

Entertaining guests at Holly and Chris’s wedding over the festive period was a blast. I performed during their drinks reception—aka that awkward 90-120 minutes where guests are left to fend for themselves before the wedding breakfast. But instead of watching the clock or pretending to be fascinated by canapé trays, guests were too busy enjoying some jaw-dropping magic (and no, not the cheesy kind). The real trick? Giving people something to talk about other than the weather or Aunt Susan’s questionable dance moves. A little well-placed entertainment goes a long way in breaking up the lull.

I threw in some psychological magic to keep guests hooked—a bit of mind-reading with a side of humour. But let’s be honest, the real trick isn’t the trick. It’s the whole ride. A good Christmas party magician knows it’s all about turning a room full of distracted people into your biggest fans.

Amazing Magic in 2025

With 2025 creeping closer, it’s time to start plotting how to outdo yourself for next year’s Christmas festivities. Need entertainment for a massive corporate bash? We’ve got you covered with multiple magicians (yes, plural). Hosting something more low-key? Our stage magic will transform your intimate gathering into the highlight of the season. Make it unforgettable—or at least give people something to talk about other than the office Secret Santa drama.

It really helped get the guests talking, which, of course, is something that not all the guests are great at.
