For those of you that haven’t already been floored by the likes of David Blaine (a little ten years ago) Derren Brown (a little weird) and Paul Daniels (a little magician) then let me introduce you to… well… me!
If you fancy being balls deep in a world of electrifying feats of kick ass magic – then I’m very pleased to meet you. Charmed, I’m sure… and I’m sure you will be!
I could give you a long winded speech written in the third person about what makes me unique, but that will become glaringly obvious as you look around my site! Do enjoy your visit and don’t forget to take a look at my video…
A couple of pictures from a recent wedding I attended. I chose these to give you an idea of the fun and excitement I could bring to your next event.
From my point of view, having entertainment at any social gathering is a must, in fact make it a matter of life or death! Just think of me as the seasoning to your party; I’m not essential but without a little salt and pepper (me) your shindig will be bland.
Warning; too much salt can lead to heart failure but hey, what a party!
So don’t delay; if you’re after a brilliant form of wedding entertainment or maybe you’d like the most fascinating party guest, book me – professional close up magician. TODAY!

Last Saturday I performed close up magic in Birmingham, it was a great success. As normal, I performed for the guests whilst they had their drinky-poos and at tables later in the evening.
Not only was I booked but the birthday girl had another surprise in the form of a comedy waiter – and he was hilarious!

Whilst everyone waited for the birthday girl, he offered the guests some terrible hors d’oeuvres: cucumber, jelly babies, carrots and something else on a stick! Next came a round of cheesy puffs – straight from the bag. Through out the night he had the guests in stitches with his less than polished silver spoon service and general leg pulling!
I highly recommend him
Here’s his web site http://www.comedywaiter.co.uk/
If you, like me, spend too much time distracted by what other people (who you hardly know) get up to with lots of Lol’s and Lmao’s to boot, then “like” my new Facebook page. Come on, make me look popular…

Here’s a shot from a recent wedding I performed at the Botanical gardens in Birmingham. It’s a lovely place for weddings and I had a great time entertaining the guests whilst the bride and groom had their photos taken and pre dinner drinks were quaffed!

Are you after a Birmingham close up magician to entertain at your wedding? If so, I reckon here’s the answer!
This morning, I received a very nice email from a recent booker who’s house party I was asked to attend. It was a great night, enjoyed not only by myself but as you will see below, the hostess:
“Hi Chris, as promised please find as below a few words, please feel free to edit as you feel fit.
To set the scene, We had just built a beautiful home on the side of a lake, This was our show piece for a life time of toil, to celebrate this we decided to hold a house warming party. This had to be no average party, it had to be one that people would remember. So we searched the web for a magician who could mingle with the guests and amaze them with a bit of close hand magic. The evening was with out a doubt a great success. On the following days, when ever we bumped into our friends who attended I would ask, “so how was the party”?
Now being a shallow person I was really fishing for compliments on our beautiful new home! But oh no – Every one’s first comments were “Great night,- That Magician was Brilliant“!!! then go off on a tangent telling us about all the amazing tricks!!! so in reality he was so good he even managed to steal my thunder!
So the real moral of this story is if you want to hold a party to remember, you can save a fortune by not bothering to build a dream home first, just rent Chris for an hour or two!
Best regards
Dominic Findlow”
I couldn’t have asked for a nicer review!
So, if you’re after a close up magician for your up coming house party (lake is optional) then book me, Chris Peskett, professional close up magician in Staffordshire and Birmingham
I’ve just been doing a trawl around the interweb looking for a Birmingham magician and I’d hate to be in your shoes trying to pick out the best for your event (I’m very particular with my footwear).
It seems that there’s a list of magicians as long as my arm (think Inspector Gadget) and all claim to be the “bestest” ever since slice bread – but how can you be sure that you’re getting a fresh loaf…(a good magician)?
Well follow this un official 3 pronged plan on how to get a great close up magician for your party, wedding or anniversary bash;
1) Magician in action; On their website, look for photos or better still, videos of the magician in action entertaining his audience. It’s easy to have a few snaps in a studio looking moody and sophistamicated (sophisticated) but trying to get your audience to fake a good time is a little harder.
2) Recommendations? If possible, see if you can locate some nice words about your Birmingham close up magician from past clients. I often ask my bookers if they’d be happy to provide a short review on a website called Free Index
3) Value; Once you’ve received your quote/quotes, don’t be tempted to plum for the cheapest option. I’m not saying go for the most expensive but often in any profession; you get what you pay for. A friend of mine says he’ll do you some wicked card tricks and a well good coin vanish at your next party – 2 hours for £50! But by his own own admission, he is a bag of bobbins (not very good). Remember this old adage:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It can’t be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it’s as well to add something for the risk you run.
